As important as thinking of ways to solve the questions that I have to debunk the mysteries of neuroscience ,
taking a step back and taking in other various perspective of life is also very valuable.
Scientific Illustration
From time to time, I like to make illustrations for my future presentations or manuscripts. Illustration has always been a great hobby of mine and have moved on from sketching on paper to making digital illustrations. In 2020, I was awarded second place in the Brain Awareness Week Sticker Design Contest which had many contestants all around the world.
Custom Mechanical Keyboards
After long weeks of research, I also like to build custom mechanical keyboards and so that I can enjoy the typing experience while I type up my lab notes or manuscripts. Building these industrial art pieces and being able to use them while I work is one of my greatest pleasures.
Catching Birdies
When the weather is nice outside and times are stressful, I enjoy the early morning strolls on the golf course. Although I'm a newbie at the game, I am constantly trying to improve my game as I do with myself.
Traveling
Before COVID, whenever taking a vacation was an option, I loved traveling to various places around the world with my family. Too bad it's not as easy as it used to be.
